      Roger Wayne Hayes, 56, died August 29 at his home at Blackey. A son of the late David Ralph and Alice Hayes, he was the widower of Reneva Adams Hayes. He was retired from Southeast Coal Company, was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Chapter 754, and was a Shriner.

      Monek Johnson Hutton, 44, died August 28 at her home at Fleming. A daughter of Mabel Fleming Johnson of Jackhorn, and the late James Webster Johnson, she was graduated from Fleming- Neon High School, and Pikeville College. She was a sister of the late Rex Allen Johnson, and a granddaughter of the late John and Bessie Fleming, and Ashley and Thelma Johnson.

      Funeral services for Jean Caudill, 67, of Jenkins, will be held at noon tomorrow (Thursday) at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial will be in the Joe Hall Cemetery in Knott County. Born in Paintsville to the late Eugene and Nancy Wheeler McDaniels, she died August 29 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Fannie May Hall buried at Thornton
      Funeral services for Fanny May Hall, 91, of Deane, were held August 30 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Hall family cemetery at Thornton. Born in Rochelle, Tex., she was a daughter of the late Levie Millsap and a sister of the late Jimmy Millsap. She was a member of the Millstone Methodist Church. She died August 27 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
