County to spend $60,000 to hire 2 more deputies

The Letcher Fiscal Court has agreed to spend $60,000 to hire two more sheriff's deputies. Acting on a motion by District Five Magistrate Wayne Fleming, the court voted unanimously to pay for the two deputy positons with money from the county's road and bridge fund. More...
