Ann Mullins, supervisor of District 11 Probation and Parole, retired July 31. She was honored with a luncheon at Pine Mountain Grill attended by state officials, her staff, family and friends. Mullins began her career with Probation and Parole in 1981 and was named supervisor in 1999. More ... The annual reunion of the Martha and Silas Caudill family was held recently at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park in Jamestown. Seventy family members and friends attended from Kentucky, Ohio, Florida, Indiana, California, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Virginia. More ... Ten free white flowering dogwood trees will be given to each person who joins the National Arbor Day Foundation during August. The free trees are part of the nonprofit foundation's Trees for America campaign. "The white flowering dogwoods will add year-round beauty to your home and neighborhood," John Rosenow, the foundation's president, said. More ...
