Hello everyone, everywhere. Hope you are all doing well and keeping cool. I got a long call from Sue Thorpe of London, formerly of Marlowe. We talked and talked about the good old days. I don't think any of us realized we were living in the good old days then, we just took it all for granted. We all have our good memories and a special bond between us. We all see it now. More ... You can see her eyes get glassy and hear the tremble in her voice as she speaks. Five Jenkins residents will be presented with Citizenship Awards at the Jenkins Homecoming Days Festival on Saturday, August 25. We are having some real nice summer weather. Many people who have gardens have been busy canning and putting things in the freezer.
