Cougars come back with win
      What a difference a week makes. The Letcher Central Cougars were coming off a humbling loss to the Bulldogs from Hazard to kick off their season and they knew the following week would be no easier as they traveled 150 miles to Greenup County to take on the Musketeers. Greenup County was coming off a loss to Russell 45-17 and the Cougars lost to Hazard 43- 22.

Cavs fall in double overtime
      The Jenkins Cavaliers faced an air attack like none they had faced before in a double-overtime loss to Beth Haven Academy last Friday in a thrilling game that neither team deserved to lose. "I haven't seen anything like that since Tim Couch played at Leslie County," Jenkins coach Mark Johnson said.

It's all about winning
      Nextel Cup's regular season of 26 races comes to an end this Saturday night with the running of the Chevy Rock & Roll 400 from Richmond International Raceway. Unlike the first three years that the Nextel Cup Series used the Chase format, Richmond will not be the battleground for several drivers to make their last attempt to get into the playoff round as only Dale Jr.
