Road will close for one day
Highway 805 at Haymond is scheduled to be closed tomorrow (Thursday) to allow maintenance workers to install a cross culvert under the road.
The closing will affect KY 805 from mile point 4 to mile point 5 at Haymond, just above Austin Road going toward Jenkins.
Billy Smallwood, superintendent of the Letcher Maintenance Garage, said the work should start about 8:30 a.m. and be finished by about 1:30 p.m.
"We know this is a temporary inconvenience," Smallwood said, "and we want to thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding."
