McRoberts men face drug counts
Two men from McRoberts were arrested last week by the Letcher County Sheriff's Department on drug-related charges.
Franklin Bentley, of 21 B Ball Drive, and Gregory L. Ratliff, of 28 Rod Run Drive, were arrested August 7 after a three-month investigation into allegations of narcotics being sold from their homes, said M.K. Terry, a lieutenant with the sheriff's department.
Terry said Bentley was selling the painkiller OxyContin, and that Ratliff was selling the less powerful painkiller hydrocodone.
Bentley, 44, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Ratliff, 48, was charged with second-degree trafficking a controlled substance.
