Where the presidential candidates stand on issues
      ABORTION McCain: Opposes abortion rights. Has voted for abortion restrictions permissible under Roe v. Wade, and now says he would seek to overturn that guarantee of abortion rights while being open to a running mate who supports abortion rights. Would not seek constitutional amendment to ban abortion.

Stars align for Jenkins Festival
      "This has to be among the biggest festivals we've ever had in Jenkins," said Jenkins Mayor Charles Dixon. "I can think of only one time we've had a bigger turnout and that was when Gary Stewart performed here 10 years ago. That was before they opened the new Route 23 and all of the traffic came through downtown. Traffic literally came to a standstill.
