Films to celebrate people, places of Letcher County
      On Wednesday, Sept. 24, as part of Whitesburg Day during the Mountain Heritage Festival, Appalshop will hold an allday screening of Appalshop films that showcase the people and places of Letcher County. The screenings, which begin at 11 a.m., are free and open to the public. Spanning the 1970s to the 1990s, the films give a unique glimpse into the past.
