Leonard Thompson succumbs in Illinois
Former Jenkins resident Leonard C. Thompson died April 20 at his home in Harvey, Ill. He was 69 years old.
A son of the late Leonard and Dorothy Thompson, he was born at Potters Fork. He was a brother of the late Rondell Thompson, Larry Thompson, and Sandra Sanders.
Funeral services were held April 26 at Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Thompson family cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley Elkins Thompson; a son, Steven Thompson and wife Melissa; three grandchildren, Alissa, Stephanie, and Deana; two sisters, Brenda and Barbara Keith; three brothers, Dean, Darrell, and Timothy and wife Janet.
