Services are held for Alfonso Haynes
Funeral services for Alfonso Haynes, 79, of Mooresburg, Tenn., were held April 27 at Carty Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial was in the Jenkins-Payne Gap Cemetery.
Born at Dunham, he was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Evelyn Hollifield Haynes. He was a brother of the late Alice Haynes Mullins, Alpha Haynes, Alzonia Haynes Stomel, Altamae Haynes Blevins, Aloria Haynes Ratliff, Alfred Haynes, Albert Haynes, and Alvin Haynes. He died April 23 in Morristown, Tenn.
Haynes was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., where he worked as a welder. He was a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran.
Surviving are two sons, Allan Fonso Haynes, Mooresburg, Tenn., and Marcus Andrew Haynes, Cummings, Ga.; a daughter, Marsha Lynn Haynes Ratz, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Haynes Blevins, Florida, and Allene Adkins Haynes Pennell, Tennessee; and the mother of his children, Jacquelyn Thelma Bates, Dahlonega, Ga.
