Isom man arrested after gadgets taken from store are found

A Letcher County man was arrested Monday night after police found several electronic items at his home that had recently been reported missing to police.

Danny L. Collins, 34, of 30 D.L. Drive, Isom, was arrested by Letcher County Sheriff 's Deputy Brian Damron and charged with receiving stolen property valued at more than $300.

Damron said the recovered items include a 20-inch flat screen television, a DVD/VCR player, a battery light, Xbox games, Xbox consoles, CDROM computer games, and power tools.

Damron said the case is linked to investigations that Kentucky State Police Trooper Derek Hall and Letcher County Sheriff 's Deputy Mike Rose have open in connection with missing items from the Isom Peddler's Mall.

"They knew what was taken because they had only been open a day," said Damron.

Damron said more arrests are expected to be made in connection with this case.
