Services are held for Oshie Boggs
Oshie Marie Boggs died May 3 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was 84 years old.
Born in Pound, Va., she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Belle Baker. She was married to the late David Carrol Boggs Sr. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Elvy Carrol Boggs and Lester Elbertlee Boggs; a daughter, Lucy Bell Boggs; a grandson, Jimmy Dean Boggs; two great-grandsons, Aaron Eldridge and Caleb Ray Cornett; and a brother, Luther Baker.
Mrs. Boggs was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by five sons, Rodney Boggs, Gary Wayne Boggs, Randy Joe Boggs, John H. Boggs, and David Boggs Jr., all of Kingdom Come; five daughters, Dana Marie Sturgill, Faye Martin, and Linda Gay Pendleton, all of Cowan, and Brenda Sue Ratliff and Sandra Ray Roark, both of Kingscreek; 40 grandchildren, and 39 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 7 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Boggs family cemetery at Kingdom Come.
