Mable Jenkins, 83, succumbs
Mable Young Jenkins, 83, died May 11 at her home at Partridge after a long illness.
Born in Harlan County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Vestina Johnson Young. She was the widow of Elmo Jenkins, and was the mother of the late Rose Mary Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Benham. Burial will be in the Maggard Cemetery at Partridge.
Survivors include children, Arthur B. Jenkins, Lafollette, Tenn.; Larry E. Jenkins, Rogersville, Tenn.; David B. Jenkins, Jerry W. Jenkins, Jimmy D. Jenkins, Crystal A. Williamson, Johnny R. Jenkins, Brenda Williamson, Cody Williamson, and Amanda Williamson, all of Partridge; a sister, Oma Bailey, Wallins Creek; a brother, Fred Young, Harlan; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
