Mother's Day gift was cool rod and reel
Kingscreek
By MARGIE ISON

Church services were really good Sunday morning. Nicole Dotson asked three of the small children for a number. At the end of church services there were flowers, hanging baskets, given out to the one with the most children with her. Pauline Roark got that one. Beverly Roark received one for the youngest mother and then one was given out to the oldest mother there. Donnie Wayne Roark is to be baptized Sunday, May 18. Hope to see everyone there.

After church Danny Fred and Lacey gave me a really cool Mother's Day present. I got a brand new open face rod and reel. I can't wait to try it out. I'm going to make sure the sun is shining when I try it out. It's really cool.

Wendy Ison, Kimberly Akemon, Randy, Nicole and Katlyn Boggs and Justin Akemon surprised me with a Mother's Day dinner and gifts. My Mother's Day turned out to be one of the greatest.

Happy birthday to Mary Ison on May 10 and Amanda Martin on May 9.

I talked with Rondall Meade at J&J Communications the other day. He and his family are doing well.

Dewyatt Adams is not doing too well. He is very sick. Remember him in your prayers.

It rained almost or it did rain all day Sunday. The good thing about this is if you plant your Mother's Day flowers they won't wilt and you shouldn't have to water them for a while.

Saturday afternoon a bunch of us went fishing. Valerie Renea Akemon, Justin Akemon, Randy and Nicole Boggs, Katlyn Boggs and Tommy Watts stopped by. The only things we did catch were ticks and Valerie Renea fed the fish a cup of chicken livers. We had fun anyway. Jason the game warden stopped by and checked on us. You could see these fish lying all around. They just didn't want to be caught.

Sandy Ison and her family had a cookout Sunday afternoon after church.

Oshie Boggs died last week. I attended the visitation. Pray for the family and pray some special prayers for Sandy Roark and Brenda Ratliff.

Ray Boggs and his wife of Little Dry Fork have some of the prettiest flowers and bushes planted around their house, barn, and garden. A large bush with purple blooms is next to their house. They also have some bright orange poppies, it looks like, planted everywhere. They have a pretty place.
