Learn to repair log structures
Pine Mountain Settlement School will host a workshop focusing on repairs to square log structures June 22-27. Participants will learn preservation techniques, log replacement, chinking, and daubing. Moss Rudley, an exhibits specialist with the U.S. National Park Service's Historic Preservation Training Center, will be the instructor.
The cost of the workshop is $690, which includes tuition, printed materials, lodging, and meals. The workshop will begin with dinner on June 22 and continue through lunch on June 27. For more information or to register, call (606) 558-3571.
