Roger Morton dies

ROGER G. MORTON

Roger G. Morton, 56, of Sandlick, died August 25 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Born in Letcher County, he was a son of Nola Hensley Morton and the late William Morton.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Gibson Morton; three daughters, Rebecca Maggard, Danville; Tara Profitt, Whitesburg; and Katie Morton, Sandlick; two sons, Roger Morton Jr. and Billy Fred Morton, both of Wise, Va.; four sisters, Remona Perkins, Van; Mattie Hall and Arzella Hampton, both of Whitesburg; and Lola Crank, Annville; four brothers, Bradley Morton, Berea; Castell Morton, Premium; William Morton, Craft's Colly; and Hoagie Collins, Colson; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held August 27 at Everidge Funeral Home. Burial was in the Morton family cemetery at Van.
