VETERANS DAY — A Veterans Day celebration was held Nov. 11 at the Whitesburg home of Delzie Banks, 83, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Attending were (left to right) Justin Banks of Cumberland, Debbie Dixon of Corbin, Delzie Banks, Lowell Dixon of Corbin, and Tim Banks of Cowan. Lowell Dixon, a Vietnam veteran, prepared a tribute of Delzie Banks's medals, ribbons, and dogtag.
