Paris Dixon, 88, buried at Blackey

Funeral services for Paris Dixon, 88, of Letcher, were held January 30 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey.

He died January 28 in Lexington.

He was a son of the late Robert and Tilda Bush Dixon, and was an Army vet- eran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Dixon; four daughters, Debbie Geers and husband Larry, Phyllis Brookshire and husband Doug, and Glenna Gilliam and husband Gordon, all of Lexington, and Linda Nichols and husband Chuck of Jackson, Tenn.; two brothers, Lester Dixon and Noble Dixon; three sisters, Imogene Ison, Wanda Caudill and Elva Ison; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and friends Emmitt and Sue Dodd.
