Services are held for Paz Abalos

Paz Villafuerte Abalos, 64, of Whitesburg, died January 23 at Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Celso and Leonora Tiqui Villafuerte.

Surviving are her husband, Dr. Antonio Abalos; three daughters, Eleanor Sanderson of Hickory, N.C., Antoinette Wadiak of Kernersille, N.C., and April Abalos of Lexington; a brother, Hermin Villafuerte of California; two sisters, Maria Baldillo of Ney York, and Lourdes Dela Cruz of the Philippines; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held January 27 at St. George Parish.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
