      Richard E. D’Amato, 63, died January 29 at his home in Whitesburg. A son of the late Ercole Biagio and Anna Victoria Consorte D’Amato, he was the twin brother of the late Rinaldo D’Amato.

Paris Dixon, 88, buried at Blackey
      Funeral services for Paris Dixon, 88, of Letcher, were held January 30 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Pearl Dixon Cemetery at Blackey. He died January 28 in Lexington. He was a son of the late Robert and Tilda Bush Dixon, and was an Army vet- eran of World War II.

A son of the late Hizzie and Cora Collins Brashears, he was a brother of the late Edly Brashears, Howard Ray Brashears, Bill Brashears, Cecil Brashears, Lou Brashears, Dixie Fields and Margie Banks.

      Joel Drexel Stone, 81 of Campton, died January 23. Born in McRoberts, he was a son of the late Bristow and Louise Fleming Stone, and the widower of Eunice Taulbee Stone. He was the father of the late Bethel Stone, and a brother of the late Bennett Stone, John Stone, Hearn Stone, Barnes Stone, and Juanita Fleming.
