I just wanted to tell the girls at the Letcher County Jail that I love and miss them. I want to give a shout out to Angie and wish her good luck from crazy girl.

.

I would like to say thank you to an officer whose name I do not know. A car kept swerving behind us and I had just said to my husband that we needed a cop to catch the driver doing this. About that time he drove past us at the light at McDonald’s and then the cop drove past us and got him. I would like to say thank you to the sheriff ’s department for being there and on duty when we need them. From a concerned citizen.

.

I think it is a shame that no one in Letcher County will help the people in Craft’s Colly who live upon the hill that is falling in the middle of the road and is about to cause an accident.

.

I see why I moved out of this town, and it is all because people are so nosy. I am glad I moved out of this place, because you people are too daggone nosy and it makes me sick. You need to take a good look at yourself and quit asking questions about others. Get a life of your own.

.

To a certain person: We are a team alright, as long as I do what you tell me to do.

.

That Snake Man is crazy. It says in the Bible to not tempt God. That guy doesn’t know what he is doing and what he is talking about concerning the good Lord. He makes a mockery of the Southern people. We don’t talk and act the way he does.

.

Win or lose in their game against Louisville on Saturday, you have to tip your cap to the current University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. I agree with this compliment from a North Carolina fan who identified himself as BlackDavida75 on ESPN’s website: ‘I continue to be amazed at how great UK is this year. They never get complacent, never let up, never taunt their opponents, don’t play dirty, have an unbelievable level of humility and play in an unselfish manner. Any true college basketball fan has to tip their cap to them. Congratulations on another Final Four.’

.

That PBS/KET television station makes me sick. It’s nothing more than a propaganda machine for those left wing bleeding heart liberals with their hands out begging for crumbs. Now you may say, the Fox News network is the same thing for the right-wingers. Here is the difference: None of my taxes go to support Fox News. I am always hearing about the religious right, but I don’t hear about the religious left. Are there no Christians on the left? This just goes to show you I don’t know everything. By the way, I am the M.P. Thank you very much.

.

Last winter, the manager of a local convenience store was complaining that the workers didn’t show up even though there were all kinds of four-wheel drives around. He didn’t realize a four-wheel drive would cost twice what they made in a year. That is the reason we have bigger problems. People want employees to work for less than what they can afford to live.

.

There is a couple who is using kids to make a living. They need to get out and find themselves a real job. These kids need to be with their families.

.

Grandma thinks she is so hot, but everyone around knows she is not because of what she has been with.

(Don’t you think Grandma, whoever she is, may have gotten the message by now that you don’t approve of her anymore?)

.

Conservatives say that big business and businesses need more freedom. What they need and what they want are two different things. What they need is a business police to keep them from lying, cheating and stealing. When they lie, cheat and steal, nothing is done and they make a big profit. The greedy are enticed by the business system.

.

To a certain person: Don’t be so busy patting yourself on the back. I never said one time I wanted anything to do with you. Why would I?

.

This is to the Letcher County Fiscal Court concerning the Whitesburg hospital: I am a member of the working poor. I earn just enough money to not get any kind of services. When my last child was born, the hospital worked with me and it took me three years to pay my bill off. No one harassed me. Come on, people. Appreciate the hospital we have. Be glad there is a hospital in our neighborhood. Call in and tell how much our hospital has done for you.

.

To a certain person: You took off and broke my heart. You told a bunch of lies and twisted and turned so many things to fit your needs, and that really hurts. I have been nothing but a good mother to you and just because you turned 18 does not mean that you are a full-grown adult and can run and do what you want to do. Now I am proud of you that you are working and doing what is right, but it sure is not the Christian thing that you have done to your mother. I miss you and I love you. If you are a Christian like you say you are you will turn the other cheek. I don’t deserve this. I was here for you when your daddy wasn’t. All I ask is for you to talk to me and then straighten things out. I’ll always love you. You are my baby. I nearly lost you when you were born and now it seems like I have lost you again. Nothing you could do could make me stop loving you. You can hurt my feelings all you want, but you’ll never be able to stop me from loving you.

.

This is in response to a person who stated in last week’s paper that you have to pay to send your kids to Revelation Ranch. This is not true. My child has been attending Revelation Ranch for over a year now, and not one penny has been asked of me. The program is faithbased, and depends upon donations it receives to keep it going and providing services for the children and maintaining the horses, etc. The parents of children who attend help assist in getting donations, with fundraisers, etc., because we care about Revelation Ranch and the impact that it has had on our children’s lives. Our children learn about God while also becoming better people by learning how to behave in social situations. Very rarely do you hear of any of the kids that attend Revelation Ranch getting into trouble, and they all are doing well in school. The drama team associated with Revelation Ranch (Revelation 22) has been lucky enough to qualify for a trip to the National Fine Arts Competition in Louisville later in the year, and there have been several fund raisers to assist in that. If all the money needed to take the eight students on the team is raised this way no parent would have to provide any money. It is no different than if a child did sports, and you had to buy their uniforms and shoes. Hopefully this clarifies any of the false statements about the program. Perhaps you should consider assisting them in any way you can, in the form of donations or assisting in fund-raising activities. Have a nice day.

.

To a certain woman: I don’t know how you can look in the mirror and face yourself every day. You have been sleeping with a married man for seven or eight years now, yet you try pretend to be his wife’s and his kids’ and his family’s friend. In my opinion you are the lowest piece of scum that walks on this earth. I hope she finds out one of these days and shoots you or something, you lowlife piece of scum.

.

The lady that nearly ran me off the road trying to get the principal’s parking space at Burdine needs to calm down a little bit. I didn’t want the parking spot. I’m not that disrespectful. Just because the principal is off a day, I am not going to grab her parking spot. Please calm down.

.

There was an accident on Sandlick involving a man in a wheelchair. Evidently it had flipped over on March 20. I live on Sandlick. There was a man standing there in a blue shirt with a beard. I politely asked him what had happened. His response was, ‘Why don’t you go on and mind your own business?’ There were ambulances and fire trucks everywhere exactly where I needed to turn off. I think that was as rude as you could get. I don’t know if he worked for the ambulance service or not. I sure hope that if I need them, he isn’t the one who responds. That was very rude and uncalled for, and it shows you what we have in Letcher County. You can’t get along with anybody because they are nothing but pure smartalecks.

We have our own Cameron Justice over here in Jenkins. His name is Andrew Oliver. He is one of the best athletes I have ever seen.

.

To Jenkins Mayor G. C. Kincer: Having lived in Jenkins for 21 years, I am shocked at the way you hire and fire our local people. You sure fired the wrong man the last time you fired someone. He is a good worker and a good Christian man. Also, I thought Jenkins had a nepotism law where two members of the same family can’t work together. The city’s handbook plainly states this. Can you please explain this to the citizens of Jenkins? It is going on today, isn’t it, G.C.? Next week I am calling the labor relations board on this matter. We will get to the bottom of this. It’s a promise.

.

How can someone who doesn’t have money spend money on drugs?

.

Don’t get me started about Revelation Ranch. Churches, you better be aware. If you want to test their love for you, stop giving them money. When they say ‘sister’ or ‘best friend,’ get away from them. Pray for the children involved.

.

I’ve got a real problem with one of my relatives. They keep hiding things from me and lying to me. They are skating on thin ice and I am a hair away from moving off and not telling anybody where I am. You better straighten up. Annie.

.

To a certain person: You may control the houses and the cars, but you are not going to control me. Just remember that.

.

I would like to say thank you to a lady who told me to chill and used her tanning bed for personal use. The truth came out because you lied. I would like to say thank you because you saved my life because I am not going to get skin cancer. I saved money by not giving it to you since you lied. I see why I left eastern Kentucky, because 99 percent of the people who live here lie and gossip because it is a small community. It is all going to come down to an end one day on you all. So thank you very much for telling a lie.

.

That woman from Owen’s Branch can push it as far as she wants to and I will, too.

.

I was recently listening to NPR (National Public Radio) and heard Mr. Obama bragging about bailing out the auto industry and saving jobs, but I did not hear him bragging about all the jobs he has destroyed in the coal industry. They decided to give the auto industry our tax dollars and in turn look how thankful the auto industry is. They are charging almost double what a vehicle should cost, so the working poor can never afford one. That’s the thanks you get. As far as the coal industry, there is no global warming. It is a flat lie. Our politicians need to stop listening to these lies and stop listening to the Environmental Protection Agency, as it has hindered jobs by believing the lie of global warming. These politicians will not listen to the American people, as they are bent on destroying our nation and our nation’s economy with their foolish agendas of going green. If they wanted our economy to boom, then they would let more oil wells be drilled here instead of buying it off of Iran. Furthermore, the Afghanistan and Iraq wars have not helped our nation, and neither have they helped theirs, for all these people know how to do is to hate Israel and hate America. If our politicians would get the price of gas down to $1.50 a gallon, our economy would go through the roof. They need to get this foolishness of global warming out of their heads and let this nation go forward and go back to work mining coal and drilling for oil. Also, stop listening to the lying ACLU as there is no separation of church and state. That is another lie our lawmakers have come up with to try to control our children. Our children need to pray. It would be better for our children to pray than to carry guns to school. I can pray anywhere I please. Jesus is my God and I worship Him. Jesus will soon return.

.

I am furious that no one stood up for Magistrate Wayne Fleming at last week’s Letcher County Fiscal Court meeting. He told the truth, and the other magistrates and that judge just sat there and let that woman go off on him. I most certainly do not want my tax money going to the hospital — they get plenty from state and federal grants and this is not a rich county. Myself and at least five members of my family have had WARH collection agency problems. My bill was sent to a collection agency for a little over $60 even though I hadn’t gotten the first bill from the hospital itself. It’s not the local hospital billing that is at fault, I don’t think, but the billing at the main company. I postponed getting a vehicle because of a bill against my credit score that I knew nothing about would have caused the interest rate to go up two points. God forbid that a magistrate speaks the truth at a fiscal court meeting against anyone, huh? The rest of them tuck their tails in and act like scared little girls, and the voters are sick of it. We voted you people in to take up for the people, not to let big companies walk all over us and take taxpayers’ money. They might employ a lot of people, but we also use their hospital. Don’t forget that Pikeville Hospital is just a few minutes away, and that’s where me and mine will go from now on.

.

To the cheating wife who was fooling around with my man: Did you think you would actually get away with it? Did you think you were so smart and careful that you would not get caught? Did you think you could sneak around while he was working and have your fun? Ha, ha. Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag now. I know about the clandestine meetings and what went on. I have had spyware on his computer and his phone calls recorded. Oh, I have known for a while, but this is evidence I put on a disk to give to your husband. Yes, I am going to give him a copy of everything. All the secret e-mail addresses, the phone number of the phone you used and a copy of everything that came across his computer. I read every e-mail and saw everything that his screen brought up. Won’t your husband be surprised when he gets this disk? I may give it to him this week, or I may wait for a few days. This will make you sweat it out with worry. I want you to feel the same thing I felt. The same worry and shame. I would like to be there to see the look in your eyes when your husband comes home and you know that he knows. How will you explain it then? I hope he throws you out like the lowlife you are.

.

My son and I have seen him treated badly by his mom and her boyfriend. I take care of him, but it is hurtful to watch a woman let a man ruin her life and hurt a child. When this guy hurt him and his mom took the guy’s side she killed the love of a child. And his grandma wonders why he doesn’t like her. She always has held up for this guy too and they blame me, the father of this awesome child. No one comes between me and my child. That’s true love. Blame me all you want to if it makes you all feel better about yourselves, but when you fool with trash like that guy good will never come. So keep telling yourselves he’s good. In the end you will see it will be too late. Your son’s love will be gone forever. Without the love of a child you have nothing. Thanks to you all for pushing him into his dad’s arms.

.

To a certain person: First, you really need to buy a bra. Second, you’ve smoked too many in your lifetime. Last, I’m sure you can afford an entire pair of underwear. By the way, there is a certain age when thongs should become illegal. Just saying.

.

To a certain person: Why is it that you must include your anger issues on Facebook instead of taking it up with the person face to face? It’s called Facebook, not pitiful me-book.

.

I was watching the Letcher County government channel and saw the administrator from ARH telling the Letcher Fiscal Court you couldn’t go to the store and get a loaf of bread on credit. That may be right, but they wouldn’t charge ten dollars for an aspirin either or they wouldn’t harass you to death over that loaf of bread and threaten to take you to court. They have harassed my 80-year-old mother to death for months. A grocery store also wouldn’t be asking for a hundred thousand dollars of Letcher County’s money. I appreciate Magistrate Wayne Fleming for standing up for the poor people of Letcher County. Jim Ward and Bobby Howard should have been taking up for the people in Letcher County also. We will remember you at election time.

.

The government names perfectly good buildings after people who stink. Why not name something that stinks after a perfectly good man? Name the Perry County dump after Killer Neace.

.

To the new cop in Whitesburg: No one just sitting and enjoying a drink with friends l ikes to see a cop walking around trying to act tough. Stop harassing people that are just trying to have a good time.

.

I am astonished that the publisher of the county’s Republican propaganda rag misunderstands the ideal of free speech so badly that he would bear false witness against President Obama, claiming he is muzzling professional liar Rush Limbaugh. There is a Commandment against doing that. Rush is free to be as hateful and dishonest as he wants, and just because many of his former sponsors and radio stations are too moral to want to have anything to do with him anymore doesn’t mean his free speech is being infringed upon. But why would a publisher want to support someone who falsely accuses a nice young woman of being a slut and a prostitute? Is he the local commander in the Republican War on Women? Or just seduced by Faux Gnus BS?

.

This situation in Jenkins sounds just like what happened in Dayhoit in Harlan County. All the chemicals saturating the soil, dumped in the river. Over there, no one who worked there lived to be over 60. Folks who lived next door in the trailer park came down with autoimmune diseases, cancers, babies born with birth defects. Dayhoit became a superfund toxic waste site; but the people had to file a class action suit. Make sure when they start doing the clean-up, you know where they’re taking the toxic mix. Some of what left Harlan County was dumped in Letcher County. It’s in the court records. You should check it out.

.

I saw a woman from the hospital speaking on the replay of the fiscal court meeting on the government channel. She attacked Magistrate Fleming for exercising his freedom of speech with regard to ARH policies and behavior (Mr. Fleming did not single out individuals by name, I hasten to say). During her all-out attack, she mentioned him by name numerous times. She also implied that his credit rating had dropped not because ARH had reported him for a deductible he didn’t in fact owe, but because he wasn’t paying other bills (a totally unsubstantiated claim). She also accused Mr. Fleming of ethics violations, deigned to counsel him on how he should manage his health insurance to her satisfaction, and topped it all off by saying that she had been taking the high road. The high road? If that is her idea of the high road, what is her low road?

.

There is a court case coming together in Letcher County that originates from the infamous internet gossip/ slander site Topix. It involved a seemingly deranged man that developed an obsession with a person that posts on it regularly and has the courage to use his own name on everything he posts. Anyway, the first man developed an obsession for the identified poster and began making threats against him, first on Topix. Then he apparently sought out that man’s home and came to it and took pictures of it which he later posted on the internet, I assume to prove he had been there or something. For months this first man continued making threats of physically harming the known poster and eventually published a post on Topix where he claimed he would return to that man’s home and even provided a day, a time, and description of vehicle he would be in. The now-threatened man called both the Kentucky State Police and local authorities for advice and to advise them of this ongoing situation. Long story short, there was an armed confrontation at the Jenkins man’s home that resulted in the arrest of the man making the threats. He was later convicted of stalking and terroristic threatening. Still not having learned his lesson, he took the homeowner to small claims court over a fictitious claim of property damage to his vehicle on the day of the confrontation. The court ruled against him in this case as well. Now he has managed to get the homeowner charged with first- degree wanton endangerment for him having a firearm through some deceptive means (he lied on the warrant/summons and omitted details of his arrest and conviction) and now this case will soon go to court. I think it is a shame this man was even charged with this since he is innocent of doing anything but protecting himself at his own home against a now convicted stalker. This stalker made the threats of harming him, This stalker came to his home on several occasions seeking trouble, and this stalker clearly would not have had a gun held on him had he not caused serious concern in this man defending himself at his home. I think it’s despicable this man must go to court again as a result of this incident. It seems his convicted stalker is now using the courts to harass this man and I think it’s a shame.
