Services held for Ramona Collier


RAMONA COLLIER RAMONA COLLIER Ramona Collier, 73, of Columbus, Ind., died July 14 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Collier was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Born in Whitesburg to the late James and Banzel Hammonds Adams, she was a sister of the late Cornelius “Neal” Adams.

She enjoyed spending time with her family at Norris Lake, going on cruises and walking the beach, as well as attending all her grandchildren’s sporting events and her monthly Euchre Club.

Mrs. Collier had a passion for helping children and was formerly employed at Nancy’s Nook & Nursery and was a leader of the children’s ministry Bible Study Fellowship for 14 years.

Surviving are her husband 54 years, John H. Collier Sr.; a daughter, Diana Mann and husband Bill of Columbus, Ind.; a son, John Collier Jr. and wife Misty of Columbus, Ind.; three grandchildren, Devin Mann, Mitchel and Ava Collier, all of Columbus, Ind.; and twin sisters, Patsy Stamper and husband Bill, and Patty Brown and husband Bruce, all of Whitesburg.

Funeral services for Mrs. Collier were held July 18 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Indiana. Burial was in the Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
