Frank Boggs succumbs at 81

FRANK D. BOGGS FRANK D. BOGGS Frank D. Boggs, 81, of Clinton, Tenn., died May 23.

He was a son of the late Harrison and Ora Boggs, formerly of Kingscreek.

Mr. Boggs was graduated from Whitesburg High School, and served in the U.S. Navy, where he traveled the world. He was graduated from University of Kentucky with a degree in civil engineering, and started his career with L&N Railroad.

He moved to Knoxville, Tenn., and later started a business, Unitrac Railroad Materials, with a friend, Glenn H. Healy.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Tenn., and volunteered at the Mission of Hope.

Surviving are his wife, Caralyn Sue Childers; a daughter, Suzi Schmidt and husband Eric of Clinton, Tenn.; two sons, Brent Boggs and wife Christy of Knoxville, Tenn., and Brad- ley Boggs of Charlestown, S.C.; three granddaughters, Maddie Boggs, Sarah Boggs and Kate Boggs; four grandsons, Daniel Boggs, Clay Boggs, Benjamin Boggs and Caden Boggs; and his last surviving sibling, Jewel Crase of Cowan.

Funeral services for Mr. Boggs were held May 26 at the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Tenn. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Garden.
