WHITESBURG HIGH SCHOOL — The Whitesburg High School Class of 1961 will celebrate its 56th class reunion October 20- 22. STAMPER — The annual Stamper reunion of descendants of Kelly and Lavina “Sis” Stamper will be held at Fort Boonesborough State Park, Richmond, in the pavilion, beginning at 11 a.m. Those attending should bring a covered dish. Some of the family will be camping Thursday through Sunday and invite others to join them. For information, contact Vina Stamper Beck, (502) 231-5609.

WHITESBURG HIGH SCHOOL — The Whitesburg High School Class of 1972 will have its 45-year class reunion

Oct. 6-7. Those started high school in 1968 but did not complete with the 1972 class are especially invited to join in this event. A room has been reserved for Friday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. at the new Prime 606 Restaurant located at 180 Parkway Plaza Loop in Whitesburg. Those attending may order from the menu or bar at their own expense. Cowan Community Center has been reserved for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The cost for Saturday night is $15 per person. Make check payable to WHS Class of 1972 and mail to WHS Class of 1972, P.O. Box 902, Whitesburg, KY 41858. SEALS/SEXTON — The 30th annual Seals and Sexton reunion for descendants of the late James Seals Sr. and first wife the late Polly Ann Bentley Seals and second wife the late Alice Amburgey Seals, the late Delzie and Nannie Sexton Seals, and the late James C. Sexton and his first wife George Ann Strong Sexton, second wife Martha Sexton Sexton and third wife Lucinda Sexton Gibson Sexton will be held Sept. 16 at the Pin Oak picnic area Shelter #2 at Carr Creek Lake from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Those attending should bring a covered dish and drinks. No beer or alcohol allowed. Chicken and cake will be supplied. All descendants, family and friends are encouraged to attend and bring photos/ genealogy/stories of family past and present.
