Rites held for Jeanette Dollarhide

JEANETTE DOLLARHIDE JEANETTE DOLLARHIDE Funeral services for Jeanette Dollarhide, 84, were held August 27 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Dollarhide family cemetery on Big Cowan Creek.

Born in Oscaloosa to the late Arthur and Rosa Caudill Ison, she died August 24.

She was the widow of Jim Dollarhide.

Mrs. Dollarhide was an active member of Cowan Community Homemakers and the Premium Baptist Church, and was a talented artist and an avid gardener who had a special touch with orchids and houseplants.

She was an old-timey cook, and famous for her buttermilk biscuits and cornbread.

Surviving are four sons, Travis Wade and wife Laura of Straburg, Ill., James Erwin of Dry Ridge, Thomas Eric of Kingdom Come Creek, and Stephen Arthur and wife Stacy of Cowan Creek; a daughter, Vita Lynn Weaver and husband Bill of Bluff City, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Ellen, Eli, Gideon, Dylan, Logan, Autumn, and Maggie; and two step-grandchildren, Michael and Danielle.
