I know the sister of a certain woman and have always felt sorry for her. How would you like to be 15 and have your brother-in-law hitting on you while your pregnant sister is taking a shower?

.

Appalachian Wireless assured us those glasses were all right. We trusted you, Appalachian Wireless, not the company that made the glasses. We as a local people trusted you personally and you failed us.

On Aug. 26, the Letcher County Central JROTC performed in the Jenkins Parade. The Duel Exhibition Team were cadets Madison Adams and Hannah Caudill. A certain preacher is putting in a tobacco store. I don’t believe that’s right. Next thing you know, we’ll have preachers putting in liquor stores.

.

I think there might be ways to end racism in this country. One, shut down the Southern Poverty Law Center. Two, disband the Democratic Party. Thank you.

.

Charlottesville, Virginia. Forty-thousand people there preaching peace and love. Was there ‘airy’ Jesus sign in the bunch? Not one sign did I see proclaiming Jesus.

.

I would like to start by saying I don’t believe in being politically correct; I believe in truth. The groups that are tearing down our historical statues are also trying to tear down our freedom of speech. These people are criminals and should be prosecuted. The split in America in liberals versus conservatives, good versus evil, workers versus lazy a’s, false media watchers versus Fox News, etc. Truth shall prevail despite all efforts to suppress it. America spoke once in 2016 and we will speak again in four years. Final thought: Pin a Pamper on, idle troublemakers, and get to work.

.

Hundreds of thousands of people of all races and creeds are losing pretty much everything they ever owned, including the lives of some of their loved ones, and President Donald J. Trump can’t find it in himself to show any feelings, empathy, or sympathy or whatever word I’m looking for to one single victim of Hurricane Harvey. What a disgrace this man has become. We have no idea how many people have been killed or are still in harm’s way, yet all Trump can do is pat himself and some of his cabinet members on the back for a job they haven’t even performed yet. I’m sure this is too late to get in the paper, but this guy is just out of hand. What’s worse is that I disliked Hillary Clinton so badly that I voted for this arrogant fool.

.

I guess everything is fake news when you’re not tuned in to reality.

.

It’s once again time to wish our granddaughters, Alyssa, a happy birthday on August 30. From her grandparents. Happy birthday.

.

To a certain person: If was you and your baby I don’t think I would laugh too much at anybody. You should take a look at yourself. You look like two little midgets out of a freak show.

.

I think it’s a shame the Whitesburg Food City doesn’t carry non-alcoholic beer …

(Apparently you’re looking in the wrong aisle or cooler for non-alcoholic beer, as the Whitesburg Food City advertises at least four brands of the weakened malt beverages — Sharp’s, O’Doul’s, Coors Non-alcoholic, and Old Milwaukee NA.)

.

Concerning the needle exchange, why can’t they give us diabetics needles for free? We have to pay for the dad-burn things. Why don’t we get them free?

.

If you don’t have a cellphone you really are not of this world. Everywhere you go there are cellphones. I can’t believe how people are using them.

(And to think that some people once traveled to faraway locations like Lexington or the Tri-Cities in Tennessee without being able to spend much of the trip complaining about dropping calls that should never have been answered — or dialed — in the first place.)

.

If money doesn’t make you happy, please come and see me. I’ll bet I can.

.

I wouldn’t take a chance of growing pot for anything. I would be too afraid of going to the penitentiary.

.

I live out of state and have been trying to call this Cinderella-like story in to Speak Your Piece for five weeks. I have the golden slipper and I’m trying to find Cinderella. Probably 15 years ago I met a precious young lady who worked a grocery store here. She later worked at a video store. We used to talk and we became friends and later on I fell in love with her. Now I cannot find her. I don’t know her name, but I know what she looks like. She’s probably now in her 40’s, she’s short, and she drove a white Dodge. She was working a consignment store in the Dry Fork area. If she’s out there and reads this comment, I wish she would give her knight in shining armor a shout-out. If you are her and you are reading this, do you remember the fishing signs at the upper end of Fishpond Lake where we met? That should let you know for sure that this is me. I would love to give this lady her glass slipper.

.

So the federal judges took it on themselves to rule a coach can’t pray before the game. Here’s the thing about that: If he was praying for the downfall of America I would have something to say about that, but he was praying for the safety of his team. This is stupidity and I think it’s gone too far. A man should be able to pray wherever he wants.

.

I would like to thank Mountain Eagle reporter Sam Adams for writing the article about the mold issue in the Harry M. Caudill Public Library in Whitesburg. It’s about time the county became aware of an ongoing health concern that has already made one library employee sick to the point the employee had to leave the library. The mold is toxic and dangerous. I believe the library should be shut down until all of these renovations are completed. If someone has an autoimmune deficiency health issue they are risking their lives by going into the library. We also have young children in there for special events over and over. I don’t think the public is actually aware of how dangerous this mold issue can be. Once again, thanks to Sam Adams.

.

This is the Syrup Man commenting on a certain person who is not a Caudill, as he says he is. If he gets married and has any offspring they will not be Caudills. You will get sweeter words next week in Speak Your Piece.

.

Well, we must not have enough people here in Letcher County on drugs. There’s a whole bunch of them out there who can’t get their needles to do it with. Just hang on a few days and they may even give you the stuff to shoot up with. This beats all I’ve ever heard in my life.

.

This is to the people who are concerned about my being appointed administrator of the estate of an old man at Jenkins who recently passed away: I’m pretty sure I’m the one they are talking about. No, I was not and never will be appointed administrator of his estate. Furthermore, if it wasn’t for me and my wife helping that man he would have had a rough life. After he quit driving I would take him to the doctor and other places where he needed to go. My wife and I gave him money and food many times. If you know who I am you can come and talk to me and I’ll tell you anything you want to know about the old man. Thank you.

.

Apparently, KY 1148 down Little Colley is a license free highway. I see people driving up and down that road every single day without a sign of a license.

.

I don’t know why people won’t put anything in the Kentucky Explorer magazine about Letcher County. There should be old pictures printed that show Blackey, Red Star and Linefork.

.

I see by the article on the front page of The Mountain Eagle that we are now going to have a needle exchange in Letcher County. By the way, I am a diabetic; do I qualify? Needles are expensive. If we’re giving them away for people to use to commit a crime, why not also give them to people who need them? That bunch that we have for magistrates are dumber than toad frogs.

.

A big 18-wheeler just ran me off the road down below Gordon on KY 160. I know who it was. I know he’s tired and just got off work, but he needs to straighten up and quit drinking those suds while he’s driving and watch where he’s going. This better not happen again. Thank you.

.

The meth and heroin in the Tipple Road area of Jeremiah is the best. Come on down.

.

How is it legal for so many log trucks to be driving around with farm tags on them while hauling logs? I was told there were only two farms listed in Letcher County. I know for a flat fact that neither one of these trucks is a part of either of the two farms. I think the Letcher County court system needs to ask the drivers of these log trucks why they are running around with farm tags.

.

To a certain person: I know what you said about me at the beauty shop. You see, it was called and told to me before you left the parking lot. I am so sorry that all of your life all you have done is tear me and other people down. How I pray that you will find Jesus Christ as I have. He can give you the peace, honey, that you so desperately need. I still love you as a sister. God bless you every day.

.

I agree with the person from Virginia who rides Pioneer Horse Trail. We need more trails than just six miles in Letcher County. Knott County has 150 miles of horse trails, which brings in about 3,000 riders into the county two times a year — plus people who come for the concerts and other things. Magoffin County has combination trails for bikers and horses, and Bell County has done the same. We can all get along if we just do one trail for everyone to enjoy. Thank you.

.

This is concerning the comment about the people on Kingdom Come with rental property drawing disability checks: In days to come we’ll see if that continues.

.

I have been rejected and it makes me feel so bad.

.

Just saw where two of the local meth manufacturers off Pert Creek got put in jail in Louisville. It’s a shame the Louisville police have to do the jobs the Letcher County police won’t do. All they have to do is stop every vehicle up there. Doing so would get rid of 98 percent of the county’s meth dealers.

.

When is it the right thing to do in basketball running the score up to humiliate kids? Schools are combining that don’t offer basketball. Therefore, one school is playing a combo of two schools. Some schools have A and B teams, so B teams are playing C teams and that’s supposed to be a lesson in sportsmanship, I guess. All the so-called stealing the ball by Neon and Whitesburg is just chalked up as refs not calling fouls. That won’t help when the kids grow up and face other teams that have been taught the rules of basketball. We need refs that know how to call a foul instead of it being like powder puff football on the basketball court. Thank you.

.

I was wondering what is going on with this fireworks mess that is still up here at the soccer fields and the baseball fields in Whitesburg. I know the county is out of money, but it looks like someone would clean this mess up. Thank you.

.

Why does Cowan Elementary haveaCteam basketball program when no one else has one? That is the most stupid thing I have ever seen, having little fifth graders playing against B team players.

.

To a certain lady: My family is outgrowing our trailer and I was wondering if we needed to build a house or buy a place in Tennessee and let my wife’s mom and dad kick the bucket so we can move into theirs.

.

Where are the child protective services here in Letcher County when it comes to parents charged with manufacturing meth? It’s time for then to step up and do something.

.

Concerning the comment from the person who complained about getting billed $35 even though no power was used in their home, I would just like to say that the utility company bills you for getting billed. Thank you. Have a nice day.

.

I think there will be another war, and I think they should take every young boy and girl in Letcher County who are on drugs and don’t work and put them in the Army and send them to Afghanistan. Please, President Trump, put the draft back in and take them all.

.

To the idiot on Little Colley who put up the sign up that say ‘No Turning’: Do you not understand that the state highway department owns a 24-foot right-of-way from center line on both sides of the road up through here? We’ll turn when we want to turn and there’s not a thing you can do about it. Do you know where your property line even starts? You do not own where you have your sign.

.

It doesn’t matter what the problem is, no one has to live with a slut. Throw the garbage out and find a good woman who will treat you right and not use you for everything you’ve got.

.

The owner of a certain service station has an attitude problem. Even if you’re a regular customer he doesn’t speak to you. That is not very good for business. I went in there the other day to get a flat fixed and he didn’t even speak to me. If it wasn’t for one of his helpers I would never have gotten it fixed.

.

Some people around here are crazy. Some are foolish and some don’t know any better. I hope they have a good day every day.

.

Why does Trump wave his tiny hands around all the time like a fairy? Is it a secret message to what he calls the LGBT community that he’s really on their side even though he had to please his Nazi enablers by banning them from the military?

.

It seems that certain foster homes in Letcher County are having a teenage dating service. In one case, the foster families are related and one of the foster daughters is dating an over-eighteen-year-old family member, who lives at one of the homes at least half of the time. Pictures are on social media of the foster daughter and boyfriend kissing while wearing a very revealing shirt, along with other pictures. There is also another teenage couple each other. Taxpayer money pays for the care of foster children and it should be made sure they are only with responsible families before taxpayers also have to pay for their babies.

.

A certain woman and her husband go to church, where she acts like she is so spiritual and holy, yet she helps her husband hide his logging to cheat Social Security.

.

Just a question to Kentucky Power/AEP: How come when you send out the ad that tells us we can save money with a home energy audit assessment, you don’t mention a surge protector? Now a comment: When AEP gives out free light bulbs, we are actually paying for them through the DSM rider on our monthly bill. The DSM rider is for conservation and energy efficient programs. So when AEP picks up an old working

(and it must be working) refrigerator or does a free energy assessment in your home, you have actually paid for it through the DSM rider on your monthly bill. This month my bill showed DSM as $2.66. Last month the July bill showed $2.47. So that is a 12-month charge rounded to an even number of $2.55 for one household. That is $30.60 a year. If there are 1,588 households, that will amount to $48,592.80 for one year that AEP collects. Look on your bill at the amount you pay for DSM and multiply it by 12 months. That is how much you are paying for one year. More to follow.

.

It is my opinion, from the way I see the presentday world, that the best weapon the ‘Religious Terrorists’ have is the gullibility of the American citizens raised up in the USA this day and time. And of course it is the enemy of the USA that infiltrated the USA school system and trained up American children into being a bunch of politically correct nut-balls who want to give the USA over to the elite professional nut-balls. Whether you want it or not, the religious terrorists, when they take you over, they allow you two choices. Choice number one: give up or fight. Choice number two: live or die. The modern day U.S. school system has been kidnapped by people who want to destroy our way of life and establish a system of government where most of the population will be birth controlled by managing population growth and also be trained to become the equivalent to slaves. The American people should rise up and ignore the propaganda of the American news media of today, which is feeding them political correctness (that phrase deserves to be misspelled). The American people who are citizens of the USA should demand a petition that the integrity of the USA repudiate and abolish political policies that tear down American heritage, thus preserving the original intent of the American venture into the future as a nation of free and law-abiding citizens who have the right to serve their God which they recognize. God bless Jesus Christ our Lord.

.

The tearing down of a nation’s historical monuments and statues is the first step in the demise and destruction of a nation’s integrity and an assault upon its spirit of nationalism. Globalism is an impossible dream. Human cultures will not allow globalism to materialize here on this plant Earth. The old testament of the Holy Bible reveals many records of empire building of its day and age, and all of them were conquered and destroyed. Civilization has, many times in the past, been manifested here on planet Earth. Archeologists have discovered and proved that, and many times civilizations have been destroyed by human ignorance. There is nothing new under the sun: The archeologists have proved that and the Bible proclaims it. Death is only a stage of the process of the metamorphosis of the spirit and soul. The spirit and the soul are both immortal. The human cannot kill either of them, so the Bible says. Man can kill the body, but the soul and spirit live forever. The second death in the hereafter is more so on the order of a vast period of time, served in a prison where you will be punished as if by fire, forever and ever. Destroying a statue, or burning a cross here on Earth, is not very impressive in the sight of the Almighty. God bless our nation where we are at least free, regardless of a few ignorant people. But God bless them all. You anarchists know that I am voting for Trump. God bless America.
