Lillian Collier dies at 81

Funeral services for Lillian Francis Collier, 81, were held October 8 at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Born in Millstone to the late Winferd C. and Eva Lee Burrows Combs, she died October 5 at her daughter’s home on Pine Mountain.

The widow of James Morrel Collier, she was a sister of the late Jack Combs, Lawrence Buddy Combs, and Gladys Combs.

She loved to cook and bake, especially at Christmastime.

Surviving are three daughters, Susan Elaine Bennett and husband Charles of Muncie, Ind., Juanita Spangler and husband Alvin of Pine Mountain, and Anita Anne Thomson and husband Jim of Boise, Id.; two brothers, Billy Combs and wife Alma of Racine, Oh., and Harold Combs and wife Shirley of Indiana; a sister, Olena Caryol Combs and husband Jim of Cleveland, Oh.; and six grandchildren, Keiuma Lee Bennett, Emilie Frances Jessie Spangler, Kelsey Elizabeth Thomson, Abigail Claire Thomson, Kelly Michelle Spangler and Richard Spangler.
