Zombie Walk set for Halloween at center

We are preparing for Halloween Safe Nite in our community. If you want to treat the children please bring your treats and come to the center by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31. We will supply a space and table for your use. We always set up inside in case of inclement weather. Everyone is encouraged to dress in a costume. Don’t forget the Zombie Walk afterwards. Please come and join us!

Schedule of events:

Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m.: The Right Fork Ramblers, Halloween costume contest and Halloween potluck at Friday Nite Pickin’ intermission.

This band is the cat’s meow if you like bluegrass. You won’t be disappointed with the music or vocals. They sing and play divinely. Dress in your costume and come on out for a fun time. The folks who frequent our place are simply the best.

Oct. 31: Halloween Safe Night 5–8 p.m.

Safe Night will be held Tuesday, Oct. 31, 5–8 p.m.

There will also be a Zombie Walk at 8 p.m. Participants are asked to donate two cans of food to be given to the local food pantry. Walkers of all ages are welcome.

Nov. 3: Will Caudill and RT 7.

Nov. 10: The Country Troubadours.

Nov.17: Cross Country Bluegrass.

Nov. 26: Monthly shape note singing 2–5 p.m.

Friday Nite Pickin’: Children get in free when accompanied by an adult. Open mic at intermission. Family friendly environment.

Inclement weather policy: Check our Facebook page for cancellations. Cancellations will be posted at least two hours before any scheduled events.

Hemphill Community Center is located at the old Hemphill Grade School building at 2514 Hwy 317, Jackhorn, KY 41825.
