CBS ON THESE!

>> After his run on “The Good Wife,” Alan Cumming resumes series work as an ex-CIA turned college professor and author. He’s forced to call his old skills back into play when first book is used as sort of a play-by-play manual … by a serial killer. The adaptation of novel by James Patterson (“Zoo”) also features Bojana Novakovic, Naveen Andrews and Sharon Leal.

>> This new comedy’s title can be taken quite literally, since the central character (played by ”The Real O’Neals” alum Jay R. Ferguson) uses the lessons of the Bible to navigate contemporary life. He quickly finds that’s not always easy, as good as his -- and the Good Book’s -- intentions are. The cast also includes seriestelevision veterans Ian Gomez (“Cougar Town”), David Krumholtz (“NUMB3RS”) and Camryn Manheim (“The Practice”).
