In memory of Anne Frye Caudill

March 6, 1924 — December 28, 2017

“Someone once told Anne that she was to Harry what Ginger Rogers was to Fred Astaire: she could do everything he could do, but while dancing backward and in heels. She laughed and pooh-poohed the comparison, but it was apt. They were a remarkable couple, and Harry, who used to get a kick out of startling people by introducing her as ‘my first wife, Anne’ knew how blessed he was. For so many who knew and admired Anne, she will live on in memory.”

— Thomas N. Bethell, Washington, D.C., longtime friend of late Whitesburg attorney and author Harry M. Caudill and Caudill’s late wife, Anne, who died in Indiana last month.
