The students at Cowan Head Start visited the Gordon Fire Department recently and had a good time. The group also has been Christmas caroling.


Hannah Kincer will celebrate her eighth birthday on Dec. 27 with a Rock Star party with family and friends. She is the daughter of Todd and Christy Kincer. Her grandparents are Harold and Judy Kincer, Rick and Debbie Champion, and Brenda Kincer.

SKCTC sets registration

Registration for the spring semester at Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will be held Monday, Jan. 5 through Thursday, Jan. 8 at each of the SKCTC campuses located in Harlan, Cumberland, Middlesboro, Whitesburg and Pineville. James Fields retiring after almost 40 years

Larry Fields, son of Loreva Fields, fell on the ice in Indiana last week and broke his foot. He had to have surgery on it. Hope he’s doing OK. Lorene Dollarhide fell and broke her hip.
