Hazel Mullins, 91, dies in Tenn.



Hazel Violet Hall Mullins, 91, of Jonesborough, Tenn., died August 21, , at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Bluegrass festival Sept. 5



The Miner’s Memorial Bluegrass Festival will begin at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 5, at the Hemphill Community Center. Scheduled to perform are Bluegrass Circle, Dawson Creek Grass, Will Caudill & Route 7, and East KY Tyme. At dusk, there will be a candlelight ceremony for fallen miners. Admission is free and those attending should bring lawn chairs.
