filed to run for county offices in the May Primary Election.

District Two Magistrate Archie Banks, District One Magistrate Bobby Lewis, Property Valuation Administrator Randy Hall and County Surveyor Richard Hall have all filed for reelection.

Others who officially became candidates during the last week include Charles Hall, who is seeking the office of magistrate in District One, and Jack Barker, who is running for election as magistrate in District Five.

Former District Three Magistrate Randy Blair filed to run for property valuation administrator, while former Whitesburg City Councilman Perry Fowler is seeking nomination for coroner.

Retired Kentucky State Police Trooper Bennett David Combs is running for sheriff, and Whitesburg attorney Frank Riley has filed with the Secretary of State’s Office in Frankfort to run for judge of the 47th Judicial District.

Others who picked up papers recently from the Letcher Circuit Clerk’s office indicating they are contemplating running for office include County Road Foreman John Adams, who picked up papers to run for magistrate in District Two, and John Amburgey, who is showing in terest in running for constable in District Four.

Ann Parson Sayers picked up papers to run for magistrate in District One, and Ellis Keyes picked up papers indicating he would like to challenge Judge/Executive Jim Ward.
