Grand jury charges 13 more in indictments

Thirteen Letcher County residents and a Knott County man are named in indictments by the Letcher County Grand Jury.

They are:

• Raleigh Dean Slone, 53, of 191 Madison Avenue, Whitesburg, who is charged with second-degree assault and kidnapping with serious physical injury. Slone is accused of assaulting Ruth Breeding and unlawfully restraining her with the intent to cause injury or to terrorize her.

Kentucky State Trooper Josh Little testified in the case.

• Tosha Lee Howard, 35, of 167 Railroad Hill, Jenkins, who is charged with second-degree possession of a controlled substance (Schedule III narcotic), use/possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree promoting contraband and being a second-degree persistent felony offender. The grand jury says Howard had multiple pills and powder found to be a Schedule III narcotic controlled substance while confined in the Letcher County Jail.

Letcher County Deputy Jailer Justin Collier testified in the case.

• Tabitha Maurita Clevinger, 35, of 70 Fall Drive, Thornton, who is charged with first-degree promoting contraband and being a first-degree persistent felony offender. Clevinger is accused of having dangerous contraband consisting of two or more pills while she was confined in the Letcher County Jail.

Letcher County Deputy Jailer Alisha Brown testified in the case.

• Joshua Allen Estep, 25, of 199 Nealy Creek, Pine Top, who is charged with third-degree criminal trespass, second-degree fleeing/evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, first-degree possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense) and use/possession drug paraphernalia.

Estep is accused of unlawfully entering Coffey Court Apartment 105-C, Whitesburg Housing Authority, disobeying an order to stop given by Whitesburg Police Officer Jordan Clemons, resisting arrest by Officer Clemons and Letcher County Constable Terry Perkins, possessing methamphetamine and use/ possession of two syringes with needles and a small plastic bag containing what is believed to be methamphetamine.

• Richard Cody Stamper, 23, of 7774 North Highway 931, Whitesburg, who is charged with improper registration plate, failure to wear seat belt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of non-owner/operator to maintain required insurance, no/expired registration plate, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants (second offense with aggravating circumstance, firstdegree criminal possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense) and operating vehicle on suspended/revoked operator’s license.

Kentucky State Trooper Patrick Bailey testified in the case.

• April Elaine Brock, 31, of 48 Georges Branch, Eolia, who is accused of second-degree assault and being a second-degree persistent felony offender.

April Brock is charged with causing serious physical injury to Mrs. Terry Brock.

Kentucky State Trooper Brandon Watts testified in the case.

• Brian Scott Sizemore, 40, of 110 Kona Drive, Isom, who is charged with leaving the scene of an accident/ failure to render aid with injuries, no/expired registration plate, driving under the influence of intoxicants with suspended operator’s license (second offense), failure of owner/operator to maintain required insurance/ security (second offense), first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief.

In a second indictment, Sizemore is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to successfully complete inpatient substance abuse treatment and/or failing to keep all required court appearances.

Katrina Jones of the Office of the Letcher County Commonwealth Attorney testified in the case.

• Jonathan Steven Hetherington, 38, also known as Jonathan Linville, of 250 Harrison Branch Road, Isom, who is accused of second-degree burglary of the residence of Samantha and Brenton LaBroome.

Kentucky State Trooper Jason Bates testified in the case.

• Mark Can Bentley, 38, of 309 Ice Road, Whitesburg, who is charged with operating a vehicle with suspended/ revoked operator’s license, improper passing, failure to notify change of address to Department of Transportation, failure or improper signal, no/expired registration plates, no/expired registration receipt, failure of non-owner/operator to maintain required insurance, failure of non-owner/ operator to provide proof of required insurance, failure to wear seatbelt, reckless driving, first-degree fleeing/evading police, second degree fleeing/evading police, speeding 15 miles per hour over posted limit and being a first-degree persistent felony offender.

• Tina Loisann Yeary, 39, of 228 Burdine Store Hill, Burdine, who is accused of second-degree escape. The grand jury says Yeary escaped from the residence in which she was being incarcerated through the Letcher District Court Electronic Home Incarceration Program.

Letcher County Deputy Sheriff Ben Fields testified in the case.

• Kimberly Ann McIntire, 53 also known as Kimberly Ann Couch and Kimberly Ann Bates, of 266 Kona, Whitesburg, 1430 Ky. Hwy. 1862, Whitesburg, and 183 Ky. Hwy. 931, Whitesburg, who is named in two indictments. In the first indictment, McIntire is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher Circuit Court in connection with a felony charge and with being a second-degree felony offender.

In a second indictment, McIntire is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher District Court in connection with a felony charge and with being a second-degree felony offender.

• Joseph C. Profitt, 44, of 3904 Thornton Road, Whitesburg, who is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher Circuit Court to answer a felony charge.

In a second indictment, Profitt is charged with firstdegree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher Circuit Court in connection with a felony charge.

• Brittany R. Rudd, 32, of 104 Cable Road, Jenkins, who is charged with firstdegree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher Circuit Court in connection with a felony charge.

In a second indictment, Rudd is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to appear in Letcher Circuit Court in connection with a felony charge.

• Natoshia Renee Adams, 34, also known as Natasha Renee Adams, of P.O. Box 306, Ermine and 462 Log House Branch, Whitesburg, who is charged with first-degree bail jumping for failing to appear for a pre-trial conference in connection with a felony charge.

Katrina Jones of the Letcher Commonwealth’s Attorney’s testified in the cases against Profitt, Rudd and Adams.
