The Kentucky River District Health Department is reporting four new cases of Covid-19 in Letcher County today, and 23 new cases district wide since Friday.
The number of new cases is up seven in the county since last Tuesday, and the number in the district is up 64 from last Tuesday to a total of 225.
The new cases in Letcher County on Monday included a 42-year-old man, 64-year-old woman, a 65 year-old-man, and a 67-year old woman. One of the cases here is the Food City Deli employee reported earlier.
Since last Tuesday, the district health department has announced cases in Letcher County involving a male under the age of 18, a 51-year-old man, and a 61-year-old man, in addition to the four cases today.
The department on Monday reported 15 new cases in Perry County, including four individuals under the age of 18, an 18-year-old male, a a19-year-old male, a 29-year-old female, a 30-year-old male, a 39-year-old female, a 48-year-old male, a 57-year-old female, a 60-year-old female, a 68-year-old male, a 74-year-old female, and an 84-year-old female. It also reported a 48-year-old female from Owsley County, a pediatric case in Leslie County, and a pediatric case and a 45-year-old male in Knott County.
