A public drawing for ballot positioning for the Nov. 2 General Election is set for 2 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the Letcher Circuit Clerk’s Office.
The deadline to file to run for non-partisan offices in the fall election was Aug. 10.
Noticeable from the list of 47 candidates who met the deadline is the absence of Jenkins Mayor D. Charles Dixon, who has decided not to seek re-election after one term.
Those non-partisan candidates who did file to run are:
