Norma G. Napier, 80, of Seco, died January 12 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Her daughter, Judy Sparks, reports that Mrs. Napier had a huge party on the hospice floor of St. Joseph Hospital on Dec. 24. She had requested one, and her children went into action.
They provided food to care for all the families on the floor with a loved one. People came to Mrs. Napier’s room to help her celebrate and “she loved every minute of it”. The room was named “The Party Room” after that night.
Mrs. Napier asked that her children let her friends know that was the best Christmas she had ever had. She said she was more proud of her kids than she had ever been.
She died “with the joy of her kids around her”.
