Hello out there to all of you good senior citizens. I’m hoping you’re having a wonderful day, as we should, because this is God’s day.
Our center was sort of quiet last week. We didn’t do much as it was so hot. We have someone missing, and he knows who he is. Maybe he’ll venture back soon. I hope so.
I don’t know if Joyce Vermillion is back from Alaska or not. I’ll find out soon and learn all about her trip. I hope one of those Alaska men didn’t keep her.
Last Wednesday we went on a shopping trip. We had breakfast at Bob Evans, and as we left there it poured down the rain. Yep. We all got wet getting on the bus. But none of us melted, as we’re not sugar, nor salt. So it didn’t hurt us any.
From there we went to the shopping mall, to Peebles, J.C. Penney’s and then on to Big Lots, Magic Mart and Walmart. So we had a full day and a great time. We always have a good time when we’re together. We had a busload, and three went in the Jeep.
Jim Craft bought me some rocks. Oh yes, I collect rocks. They tell me that I have rocks on the brain, and maybe I do. But something has to be in there, don’t you think?
Judith Vermillion didn’t get to go as it was her day to work in the Food Pantry, but we missed her.
Debbie Slone, our site manager, drove the bus. She sure is a great person to take us on our trips and put up with us ‘recycled teenagers.’
That’s what we say we are.
We’re already planning our trips for next month. I’ll let you know later where we’re going.
Thursday, Ermine Center will be going to Kingscreek to the new park. We’re all excited about that. It will be our potluck dinner, also. I know the food will be good. It always is, no matter what we have.
Debbie Slone and her husband David went to North Carolina over the past weekend to see their new granddaughter. I saw her picture, and she is a doll. Her name is Kholie Nicole Lynn Slone, and she weighed 5 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 17 inches long.
Friday, Judge Jim Ward visited our center and had lunch. I wasn’t there, as it was our association time at our church at Mayking Old Regular Baptist.
So long for now, and I will talk to you again. God bless until next time.
