A sure sign of spring



As sure as the weather begins to warm in March, the Jenkins Lady Cavaliers will be playing a winning brand of fast-pitch softball. On Tuesday, the Lady Cavs improved their record on the young season to five wins agains only one loss with an 11-1 win over Sheldon Clark in a game that was called after five innings. The Jenkins girls also own impressive wins over Belfry (twice), Pikeville, and Harlan. The Lady Cavs were schedued to return to action Wednesday afternoon at John I Burton High School in Norton, Virginia, and are set to visit Hazard on Friday.
