A WRIGHT BROTHERS VISIT?

— No, U.S. aviation pioneers Orville and Wilbur Wright didn’t really visit West Whitesburg Elementary School last week to show two of the airplanes they invented. Actually, the “Wright brothers” pictured here are Landon Yeary (left) and Christian Hensley. The two are among the fifth grade students at West Whitesburg who researched the lives of famous people in history and portrayed these figures during a living history museum held May 29 in the school library. Students in the lower grade levels walked through the exhibit and asked the fifth-grade students who they were and what they did that was significant. Plenty more photographs of the event appear inside this issue. (Photo by Sally Barto)
