Ada Lee Baker, 82, dies in Mt. Sterling



Ada Lee Baker, 82, died March 10 at her home in Mt. Sterling.

A daughter of the late John and Ethel Anderson Phipps, she was the widow of Verlin Baker.

Formerly of Jenkins, she had lived most of her life in Letcher County, and was a member of the Burdine Church of God of Prophecy and attended the Cathedral of Glory in Mt. Sterling.

Surviving are a daughter, Glenda Richardson of Mt. Sterling; a son, Timothy Baker of Lexington; a sister, Judy Johnson of Moss Point, Miss.; six grandchildren, Wenda Hawks, Crystal Galasso, Dwaine Colvin, Tasha Hammond, Cristen Baker and Bethany Baker; six great- grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew, Josh, Karrah, McKinzie and Nicholas, and two great-great-grandchildren, Ana Belle and Cameron.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday), March 14, at Polly & Craft Funeral Home in Jenkins. Burial will be in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.
