Albert Edgar Whittaker, 90, died January 8 at his home in Alexandria, Va.
Born in Pound, Va., to the late Edgar A. and Alta Meade Whittaker, he was the widower of Aldine Suggs Whittaker.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Sur viving are four daughters, Annetha Harris and husband Terry of Haymarket, Va., Brenda McMahon of Manassas, Va., and Karen Whittaker and Sonia Whittaker, both of Alexandria, Va.; two sons, Albert E. Whittaker II and wife Frida of Alexandria, Va., and Rickey Whittaker and wife Edwina of Henderson, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Annette McMahon, Duane Harris and wife Julia, Kevin McMahon and wife Leeza, Dustin Harris and wife Ann, Adam Whittaker, Aaron Whittaker and wife Ashley, and Preston Whittaker; and five great-grandchildren, David Harris, Kaitlyn Harris, Daniel McMahon, Madisen McMahon and Ada Harris.
Funeral services were held January 16 in Pound, Va. Burial was in the Whittaker family cemetery in Pound, Va.
