All the Christmas decorations are pretty

Whitesburg

Hello, everyone. Hope you are all doing well. Can you believe it’s December? Today has been a beautiful day. It’s a day the Lord has made. I hope you rejoiced and were glad in it. I try to do that every day and think of the good things in my life.

I was pleased that my good friends, Juanita and Earl Profitt, visited Clyde a few days. They are such great people, always doing something for others. Wouldn’t it be a good world if everyone did that?

I enjoyed lunch last week with my sisters, Louise Shepherd, Kathleen Brock, and Betty Tyree, and Joyce Howard. We try to do that for all our birthdays.

They have been having a great revival at Colson Pentecostal Church where Bro. Josh Sturgill is pastor. That evangelist, Bro. Tim Treece of Alabama, really laid it on the line. I hope it helped the people.

Do you all remember the pretty gazebo at Billy and Sandra’s lake house? Everyone that saw the picture said it was the prettiest one they had ever seen. People stopped their boats to look at it. I should have mentioned Don Bentley built it. He sure deserved credit for that. He outdid himself on it. He does good work. It’s the biggest and prettiest one I have ever seen.

There was a big birthday dinner for Jamie Hatton on Sunday at the home of Sandra and Billy Hatton. There was a large crowd there and the food was so good and we did a good job getting rid of it.

Ruth Ann Brown, wife of Roland Brown, had a heart attack and had to have open heart surgery on Sunday. Her sister-inlaw, Roberta Willie, said she came through her surgery well. We all wish her well and she’s in our prayers. She’s a great gal!

It was good having Ralpha and Buck Adams back in Sunday school. She had a bad fall and we’ve sure missed them. Ralpha’s brother, Carlos Fugate, had heart surgery and I hear he is doing all right.

I’m anxious to see our new health department building started. The picture in last week’s paper was beautiful. It will sure make a big difference in that end of Whitesburg. I love it when anything gets done to help our little town – I love it here!

Christmas is getting close. I hope everyone remembers the reason for the season. It’s more than giving and getting gifts.

Last month was busy and I don’t have much to write about and this month will be about the same, I guess.

All the decorations are so pretty. May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week and on Sunday.
