Andrew Crevin Banks, 67, of Irvine, died March 2 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Letcher County to Charlena Creech Fields of Beaver Dam and the late Cecil Banks, he was retired as an engineer with CSX Railroad and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and had lived in Estill County most of his life.
He was a stepson of the late Claude Young and Slaney Fields.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Sharon Frazier Banks; a daughter, Andrea Banks of Estill County; a son, Dewayne Banks and wife Allyson of Estill County; two grandchildren, Tyler and Landon Banks; 12 sisters, Wilma Dorsey and husband T.C. of Oklahoma; Bessie Perkins and husband Archie of Williamsburg, Wanda Little and husband Stephen, Helen Ashby and husband Jimmy, and Ruth Geary and husband Cecil, all of Beaver Dam, Clara Hoskins and husband Gary of Milford, Oh., Tammy Walker and husband Mark of Williamsburg, Sylvia Corey and husband Bill, Brenda Dietz and husband David, Cynthia Banks, Linda Banks and Lisa Banks, all of Michigan; seven brothers, David Young and wife Freda of Tennessee, Jim Fields and wife Ruth, Johnnie Young and wife Sandra, and Watson Fields and wife Lana, all of Beaver Dam, Dennis Young and wife Bertie of Hartford, Jerry Fields and wife Betty of Uniontown, and Roger Banks of Florida.
Funeral services were held March 5 at the Defeated Creek Regular Baptist Church at Linefork. Burial was in the Frazier Cemetery.
