Ann Frazier ( Annie Granny) of Knott County, had to have three bypasses at the Pikeville hospital last week. She did really well and came home about four days afterward. Her son Craig Frazier drove in from St. Louis for the surgery and spent some time with her.
Virgil Combs of Carcassonne, has been having good days and bad days. His wife Freda said he had a good day awhile back and was singing for her but is now again not doing well. I wish him the best. Please pray for him and Freda. He is in the hospital has blood clots in his neck. He is losing blood, but they don’t know from where. They are giving him blood and plan to do a heart cath. If anything bad is found, they will be taking him to Lexington.
My dad Pnut and Jimmy Bates went to Louisville for a VFW convention. They left on Thursday and came back on Sunday. Blackey
Shawn Gilley of Harlan had to have some skin cancer on his side removed. They said they got all of the cancer so that was good news. He is the son of Bruce and Rita Gilley of Letcher.
Happy anniversary to Randy and Mary Gail Adams of Blackey. It was their 28th on March 12.
Late happy birthday to David Eldridge of Elk Creek. It was on March 7.
Logan Howard of Knott County, who just recently had to have an eye removed because of cancer, is doing well. They received great news last week, he does not have to have chemo. He will get a prosthetic eye put in. He is the son of Clint Howard and Jamie Sparks. I’m so glad he is doing well. Logan is 3.
Late happy birthday to Christian Miller of Blackey. He turned 3 on March 6. He is the son of Mckenzie and Beck Miller and the grandson of Phillip and Carrie Kincaid and Billie Miller.
I forgot to put some news in last time I had it, so sorry to the family but here it is fi- nally. Congratulations to Samantha and Brian Morton of Maces Creek at Viper on the birth of their son. Brian Ayden Morton was born on Feb. 15 and weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces. He is the grandson of Edward and Linda Smith of Carcassonne, and Donell Morton and Ellea Rea Hamilton. And happy birthday to Samantha. It was on March 15.
Some of the residents from over here on Carcassonne got out and picked up garbage beside the roads. I can’t put all the names in of all that worked, but just wanted to let all of you know it is appreciated.
