Anti-drug license plates offered

New anti-drug specialty license plates are now being offered. Operation UNITE, WestCare Kentucky and Children’s Alliance of Kentucky plan to have the “Keep Kids Drug-Free” plates available by this year’s Red Ribbon Week, Oct. 23-31.

For the state to begin production, at least 900 plates must be pre-sold. The plates cost $38, of which $28 is paid to the state and $10 is a tax-deductible contribution to be divided among the three sponsoring organizations.

Those ordering the new plate by July 13 will be entered into a drawing for a four-day, threenight cruise for two adults and two children. For an application, visit www.operationunite.org, www.westcare.com, or www.childrensalliance.ky.org.
