April happenings at Hemphill




The Hemphill Senior Citizens group will travel to Jenkins to have lunch at the newly renovated Jenkins Senior Citizens Center during the month of April. They will also visit the Jenkins Library to visit the folks from the electric company who will be on hand to supply free light bulbs to their customers. This will take place on April 8.

On April 17 the group will take part in the Camp Nathanael Senior Fun Day.

The April potluck luncheon is scheduled for the 24th. Anyone 60 years of age or over is invited to come and bring a covered dish and enjoy.

All seniors in the Hemphill and Boonefork area are encouraged to come to the Hemphill Center, as the Boonefork Center is now closed. The Hemphill Center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Friday Nite Pickin’ Schedule:

April 11, at 7:30 p.m., Friday Nite Pickin’ will feature The Country Troubadours.

April 12, Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. We will not be offering pictures this year, but bring your camera and take your own. Breakfast will be served from 8 – 10: 30 a. m. Community easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m.

April 18, at 7:30 p.m., Friday Nite Pickin’ with Cross Country Bluegrass, Easter/ Good Friday Potluck.

April 25, at 7:30 p.m., Friday Nite Pickin’ with Dawson Creek.

May 2, at 7:30 p.m., Friday Nite Pickin’ with Will Caudill & Rt. 2

Family fun for all ages. Kids get in free. Good food, good music, good fellowship.
