ARTHUR MILES
Arthur Miles, 78, of Waynesburg, died March 16, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Letcher County to the late Jonah and Ettie Sturgill Miles, he was the widower of Margaret Bruner Miles and the father of the late Robin Miles.
He was a retired coal miner and had worked for Blue Diamond Coal Co.
Surviving are two sons, Rollan Miles and Roger Dean Miles and wife Shannon, all of Waynesburg; two daughters, Rita Broughton and husband Ricky of Garrard County, and Rebecca Todd and husband Mike of Broughtontown; four brothers, Charlie Miles of Whitesburg, and James Miles, Steven Miles, and Cecil Miles, all of Cumberland; two sisters, Tootsie Ratliff of Whitesburg, and Sue Tyree of Cumberland; nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday). Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Broughtontown.
