Avery Reid Damron, 59, of Chickamauga, Ga., died December 20.
Born in Clintwood, Va., he was the son of the late Avery and Shirley Rose Artrip Damron.
Mr. Damron worked in the coalmines of Jenkins, Queen Carpet in Dalton, Ga., and Tennant Floor Cleaning Sales & Service. He was a member of Harbor Lights Baptist Church in LaFayette, Ga.
He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family, and was an avid Georgia Bulldawgs fan and a member of the Chattanooga Northwest Georgia Bulldawg Club. He was also an avid Dodge Truck enthusiast, especially Cummins Diesel Dodge Trucks.
Surviving are his wife, Eudina Adayle “ Dayle” Bradshaw Damron; children, Sandy DeLynn Berryhill and husband Richard of Jenkins, Charla DeAnn Thompson and husband Brad of LaFayette, Ga., and Wimberly Shalleene Pickard and husband Joshua of Chickamauga, Ga.; grandchildren, Hannah Brown, Haley Berryhill, Patrick Griffin, Madison Thompson, Mason Thompson and Adira Pickard; great-grandchildren, Brynlee Brown and Kamryn Brown; his motherin law; Mary Bradshaw, a nephew, Lee Bradshaw; and several aunts and uncles.
